Has anyone managed to resolve this issue? Is there a hack perhaps that I could apply? Is it ordering them by filename, maybe? I have a client using this script and she'd like to be able to order items within the gallery. I've looked through the code but can't immediately see a way to fix it, and I'd really like to obtain some resolution on the issue.

I'm having this trouble, too. It seems that Gallerific overrides the gallery order inputted into Wordpress?

There any easy way of sorting (or organize) the order of photos?
I tried so many possible ways, but it always orders as it wants.
Thanks. :)

I looked at a plugin's code and it needs a complete rewrite in order to be more functional and most importantly to follow WordPress standards.

Do you want to do this or should I create a fork of this plugin?

Here's my test page: http://jmenning.com/?page_id=160

The gallery images are displaying in a bulleted list, but the javascript to make the gallery actually work isn't executing properly. It looks like exactly the same problem I had when trying to implement Galleriffic directly (which is what sent me looking for a plug-in).

I have Galleriffic working on a non-WP site and love it, but I just can't seem to get it going within Wordpress.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

I have the same problem as Andrew, I have uploaded and installed the plugin, then in the plugin screen Activated the plugin and have deleted all other plugins that could have 'got in the way', inserted a new gallery to a page and all i get is the thumbnails (which wordpress does anyway).
At first I didn't actually get that, I just got crosses but relised this was because I have my thumbnails set to 100X100, and the plugin is coded to 150x150, so I changed this in the gallifrey.php and the thumbnails appeard.

It also seems as though jquery or the gallifrey plugin isn't loading.. Although I am just guessing really, is there a way to test this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

thanks,

Activate the plugin, then insert the gallery into the post using the Wordpress's default method itself. It should work.

I'm posting this because there is currently no find-able info/documentation on how to use this software with WordPress.

For more advanced users, the info on Galleriffic may be adequate, but someone that normally works with plug-n-play WordPress Plugins, there doesn't seem to be any guidance anywhere that I can find.

There is a Plugin in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory, called Gallifrey, but it doesn't do anything when activated, as far as I can tell.

I'm starting this thread as a call for help or a call to others to unite in asking for help.

Thanks everyone.

Been testing the Gallifrey plugin, for which I thank you. I was able to alter the script to slow the slideshow (delay = 4000 rather than 2000), but even without that change, Gallifrey doesn't generate thumbnails. See http://www.timmerritt.net/?p=1157 for a test.

Again, thank you for Gallifrey!
