Hi
I downloaded pollin and activated it. I see the mange polls under my posts section and I can create a new poll. But it doesn't show up in my posts whenever I create one. Can you please help? ThanksPosted 3 years ago # -
Which version of WP are you using?Posted 3 years ago #

I'm using the latest wordpress 2.7 and having same problem. Get the manage polls, created poll, but can't publish it.Posted 3 years ago #

Are you seeing any error when you try to publish the poll?Posted 3 years ago #

same problem..cant see the poll newher on my blog..using wordpress 2.7Posted 3 years ago #

Yeah, same here. Using 2.7 and followed the instructions exactly. I tried different variations of pasting <!--– POLLIN 1 –--> in Visual and HTML just to make sure that I was doing it in the correct place, but still no go. The post just displays "<!--– POLLIN 1 –-->".Posted 3 years ago #

very simple: <code><!-- POLLIN 1 --></code>Posted 2 years ago #

I'm really new @ this, so forgive my shortcomings, but when I do that, my post just reads <code><!-- POLLIN 1 --></code>
What am I missing?Posted 2 years ago # -
Sorry, figured out the whole posting a poll thing, but once the poll is posted, it shows the question and states that polling is closed.
How do I change the polling duration?Posted 2 years ago # -
There is no auto disabling for the Pollin plugin. Just edit the poll in question and set the status as active. Go to the end of the page and make sure that the Status checkbox is ticked.Posted 2 years ago #

That is what I'm doing. I started over. I deleted the previous polls and created a new one.
I made sure that the Active box was checked and clicked Save.
The question shows up in the post and it looks great, but it still states that the poll is closed.
Sorry to be a pain in the ***, I'd just really like to use this in my blog.

Could be a issue with the poll id. Can you copy the HTML of the post with the poll and paste it here? Go to the post which has the poll embedded. Go the HTML Tab and copy the whole content in the textarea and paste it here.
Next, I need the ID of all the polls. Go to the manage polls page. Copy the numbers in the first column and paste it here.Posted 2 years ago # -
I really appreciate the help, I was able to get it to work today and I am very pleased.
Thank you so much, you've been most helpful.Posted 2 years ago # -
Woot!

What was the problem? Mis-typed the ID?Posted 2 years ago # -
You know, I'm not sure what the problem was, I felt like I did the same steps as before, but it just worked.
I'm sure it was me, I'm learning as I go. This is a big step from Blogspot!
Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
I'm pleased and impressed by your response promptness too.

I am pasting this code in my html file: <code> <!--POLLIN 1--> </code>
All I get is my question and a vote button; no answers to vote on.
I input the questions and click save and it seems to work but when I go to the Manage Polls page it says no Questions found (and of course no questions show up). ????Posted 2 years ago # -
That's odd. I think its a database issue - can you check your database if the data is getting entered?Posted 2 years ago #
-
The questions do not save under the manage polls section. They question does appear on the blog, but the answers do not. So all you see is the question and the "vote" button.
This is the same whther I use <code><!-- POLLIN 1 --></code> or just <!-- POLLIN 1 -->.Posted 2 years ago # -
Try using the code [POLLIN 1]Posted 2 years ago #
