A question about the database connection: when does it start and when does it end? For instance if I have a Wordpress page with only a quiz, I believe the database connection starts when an user loads the page. Does the connection end very quickly or when the quiz has ended?
I am asking this because my website was down a couple of times during traffic spikes. I have economy hosting with Godaddy and they limit the number of simultaneous connections to 50. I am not clear if this was the issue, at this point I am just investigating the issue.

UnregisteredThe plugins don't worry about stuff like this - thats all managed by Wordpress. But usually, database connection is opened when a page is requested.Posted 7 months ago #
